Here are links to software that may be helpful in your writing endeavours. These include various text editor as well as graphics editors (for book covers, etc.).
  • Adobe Digital Editions - this is a library organizer you can use to organize your pdf, epub and epub3 files, including uploading them to your digital reading device. 
  • Calibre eBook Management - Calibre is a great free program you can use to convert text from one format to another.
  • CutePDF Writer - this is a dandy piece of software for creating pdf format files. It works as a printer sub-system. You can convert any file, any format, to pdf by selecting the file and printing it. When you "print". select CutePDF Writer as your printer and it will convert the file and ask you where you want to save it.
  • GIMP.org - GIMP stands for GNU Image Manipulation Program and is a free downloadable program.
  • Paint.net - Paint.net is free downloadable image editing software.
  • Picasa - Picasa is primarily a photo organiser but you can modify photos as well. It is a free downloadable program you install on your computer.
  • Sigil the ePub Editor - Sigil is a free downloadable program that you can use to edit or create manuscripts in ePub format. It's sponsored by Google.
  • WriteWay - excellent writing software that let's you storyboard, outline, develop characters, keep notes, etc. as you write. One handy thing about Writeway is that you can output your finished work in the correct format for publishing with Kindle, Nook, Kobo or Smashwords.
